Samuel C. Wisotzkey Serves on Board of Directors at National Bankruptcy Conference in Washington D.C.

Kohner, Mann & Kailas, S.C. attorney Samuel C. Wisotzkey recently attended the three-day Annual Spring Meeting (ASM) of the American Bankruptcy Institute in Washington, D.C. The ASM brought together over 800 bankruptcy and insolvency experts from around the country and the world to discuss emerging trends and hot topics including the latest developments in debt restructurings and workouts, Subchapter V of Chapter 11—the Small Business Restructuring Act and the latest analysis of recent U.S. Supreme Court Decisions impacting the insolvency community, among many other topics.

In conjunction with the ASM, Mr. Wisotzkey also attended the latest Board of Directors Meeting of the American Board of Certification (ABC), the entity that offers certification programs in business bankruptcy, consumer bankruptcy and creditors’ rights law. ABC has certified over 1,000 attorneys nationwide, and Mr. Wisotzkey has been certified by the ABC in Business Bankruptcy since 2017. Mr. Wisotzkey has been a member of the Board of Directors of ABC since 2022, where he also serves on the faculty committee of the ABC Board, which is charged with the preparation, administration and scoring of certification exams.
