From numerous public health measures to ongoing market turmoil, the coronavirus and COVID-19 continue to take a major toll on populations and businesses in the U.S., Canada, and all around the world. This includes clients, colleagues, and families of Kohner, Mann & Kailas, S.C. (KMK). Given these circumstances, KMK wants to take this opportunity to announce it has been preparing for this situation and adjusting to it as it unfolds.
KMK’s office is open and fully operational. Phones are being answered and emails are being received. The comprehensive continuity strategy that is in place was designed to mitigate potential interruptions to business, making it possible for the KMK office to remain open. However, if conditions shift, the staff has the ability to work remotely, with cloud-based access to all files featuring the same protection and security for client information available within the office walls.
KMK expects to continue servicing its clients with minimal disruption. The staff is currently limiting in-person meetings with clients, attorneys, and others, and instead utilizing video conferencing, phone calls, and email as much as possible, or simply rescheduling meetings to a future date when appropriate.
Some of the firm’s court-related activities are being impacted by federal and state court decisions to limit activities or reschedule proceedings. If such notices impact a specific client matter, KMK staff will, of course, advise the affected clients and business partners as soon as possible.
The situation remains extremely fluid. KMK continues to adapt its plans and protocols to address the safety of its people, its clients, and others with whom the firm works, and should things change, those affected will be apprised as soon as possible.
KMK appreciates the patience and understanding being shown while the world works through these unprecedented circumstances.
