Data Privacy and Security
KMK advises all companies to have a plan for continuing the business in the event of a devastating accident, breach, or act of God or nature. A key element of this is the protection of critical documents and today this inevitably includes computer files and data. Though businesses may have some form of continuity planning, it may be inadequate for their needs. KMK can conduct a continuity review. Our major interest is to lessen the heavy burdens placed upon companies, in-house counsel, and executives regarding the protection of information pertinent to anticipated litigation.
KMK has developed expertise in determining what may trigger a client’s duties to protect and preserve data and the legal and internal processes that are required to protect clients. In doing so, we consider existing continuity capabilities and seek to minimize cost and duplication by incorporating these whenever possible.
