Ellen Leopold joined KMK as part of the Litigation Department, overseeing court filings, searching prior legal decision and precedent, and scheduling hearings and depositions for current cases.

Ellen comes to KMK with over a decade of paralegal experience, working in both the private and public sectors. Some of her many responsibilities include: court appearances as an authorized agent, negotiating settlement agreements and stipulations, drafting foreclosure pleadings, prepare the files for contested bankruptcy actions, electronically scour data to establish wage garnishment orders, obtained judgments for eviction proceedings, monitored campus-based loan services and pursued delinquencies, as well as other legal activities.

In addition to her legal accomplishments, Ellen also has a strong background in accounting having previously worked in various accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, and billing departments.
